School Uniform

Please label everything 

 

Plain blue or white school shirt/blouse or Plain white, navy or pale blue polo shirt

Plain navy blue sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan 

Plain knee length skirt, pinafore dress, trousers or shorts (not sportswear) in navy blue, black or grey or summer dress in blue gingham check.

 

Footwear

Flat heeled black shoes or closed toe sandals. Trainers may be worn if they are black or white. Brightly coloured trainers are not acceptable.  If, during the winter, you would like your child to wear boots or wellingtons, you may wish to send a change of footwear for indoors.

 

Supplier of School Uniform with logo.

Polo shirts and sweatshirts bearing the school emblem can be worn in place of plain items. These can be purchased online from Uniform Direct https://www.uniform-direct.com/acatalog/Arksey-Primary-School.html  Items embroidered with the school logo are not mandatory, however please ensure items purchased elsewhere are in school colours. 

 

Uniform Policy

PE Kit

Plain black or navy shorts.

Plain white crew neck t-shirt. 

Blue tracksuit top or sweater - no hoods please.

Black, grey or blue tracksuit bottoms may be worn for outdoor PE when the weather is particularly cold.

 

Children have bare feet for indoor PE and may wear white or black trainers outdoors. 

 

 

Please ensure all items of uniform and PE kit are labelled

Kit list for Residential Trip

 

White Hall Centre, Buxton, Derbyshire - Kit List : 3-5 July 2024

 

 

Your child will need ALL of the following items, however, we advise that old clothing/footwear is used due to the very dirty and wet nature of many of the activities.

 

To wear to school on day one:

Strong outdoor footwear (to wear on arrival to school)

Socks (no trainer socks)

Long bottoms (not jeans)

T-shirt

Sweatshirt

Warm waterproof coat/jacket

None of these are optional.


Day bag - Small rucksack (no other type of bag is suitable)

Packed lunch in a box that fits into the rucksack (e.g. old ice cream tub or tupperware)

Refillable drinks bottle (minimum 500ml)
Suncream (minimum factor 30) and insect repellent

None of these are optional.

 

To pack in a single small suitcase or single large holdall (children must not be able to lock the case/bag):

Towel

Indoor footwear (no novelty or backless slippers, no flip flops or sliders) 

Thin pumps/trainers for stream walking

3 pairs of long bottoms (not jeans)

3 sweatshirts/jumpers

3 t-shirts (ideally one long sleeved, no vest tops)

4 sets of underwear and socks (no trainer socks)

Hair brush/hair bobbles for medium/long hair

Shampoo, shower gel or soap, roll on deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste

Gloves and beany hat (no pom-pom)

Sun hat, e.g. bucket hat or cap

Pyjamas (no night dresses)

Plastic bags for wet/dirty clothing

Torch with batteries

Up to £5 (in change), spending money in a named sealed envelope

Teddy or similar

Wellingtons

None of these are optional.

 

Parents will be asked to complete a medical/consent form with any medication (labelled and in original packaging with dosage instructions) to be given to staff on the day.

 

No electronics or books - there won't be time.

 

The children will be getting really wet and dirty and having lots of fun.  They will not need new clothes but will need EVERYTHING on the list above.
